Yea, Ordered your book. Can't wait to read it. From what I've read, your post are excellent. I am well aware that paying heed to a punishing god will cause you to create, and live in, a hell on earth. And that's a fact. Our problem is with those who exercise repeated failed attempts at playing god and, as you indicate, use a god term to avoid culpability for their nefarious, self centered, motives and actions. Thank you. It is a love or hate read. I've had quite a few people REALLY angered by the title due to their own premise that the US can do no wrong. I hope you'll like and enjoy it. The book contains a lot of confession, both for Rubicon and myself, while trying to immerse the reader in events and life as they happened. I appreciate your words and writing.
When I ordered it on Amazon you had like 6-7 five star reviews, and one two star review with a comment that reeked of US exceptionalism/supremacy. Some of the five star reviews explained that reading the book really helped them in dealing with relatives who have PTSD. One father wrote that he had been struggling to save his son from the mental anguish for 21 years and that your book opened doors for him that really helped.
I will let you know what I think after I have read it, for sure. I have been writing about the horror that US foreign policy has left in it's wake for about 10 years now and I have to confess that I get shocked and dismayed every time. The patterns are the same but it still shocks. I still cry periodically when I see the videos coming out of Gaza and Ukraine. Any Arab or Muslim nation that “normalizes” relations with israel signs its own death warrant. How can you normalize the abnormal? How can you hope or expect to be treated as an equal? A sovereign nation, deserving of respect? Once any Arab nation surrenders its dignity to israel by normalizing its relationship, it can expect to be treated like a spayed catamite by an ignorant, arrogant, selfish, disdainful organized crime syndicate that will never respect any Arab nation or treat with it as an equal. Normalizing your relationship with israel means you have opened the door to the wolf, who will devour you.
Wow! Excellently stated! In a political sense, once you start putting the words "Israel" and "normal" together, genuine humanness evaporates. A political and military intervention is required in Palestine to free the captives and return the Palestinian State to it's previous pluralistic position, with a constitution that guarantees equal rights and due process for all citizens. Those who have committed war crimes must be arrested, quarantined, and face trial in an international court. As much as possible, all land that was stolen from the original owners during the 1947-48 expulsion should be returned.
